President Wu Binru Attended and Presided over the 13th National Annual Conference of Chinese-foreign Cooperation in Running Schools

From December 13th to 14th, Wu Binru, President of Quanzhou Vocational and Technical University, Vice Chairman of the Branch for Chinese-foreign Cooperation in Running Schools, China Association of Higher Education, attended the 13th National Sino-foreign Cooperative Education Conference (hereinafter referred to as the Conference), and presided over the Conference on the 14th. The Conference was supported by the International Department of the Ministry of Education and jointly sponsored by the Branch for Chinese-foreign Cooperation in Running Schools, China Association of Higher Education, and the Education Department of Henan Province, as well as hosted by Zhengzhou Sias University.

The annual conference thoroughly studied and implemented Spirit of the 20th National Congress of the CPC, carried out in-depth discussion on the theme of "Chinese-foreign Cooperation in Running Schools Help Build a Strong Country in Education: Opportunities, Challenges and Measures" and its 10 sub-themes, which were of great and far-reaching significance for promoting higher quality development of Chinese-foreign cooperation in running schools and strengthening education.

The organizing committee of the conference adhered to the tradition of "Strict entry and controlled totality" of previous annual meetings, and determined the representative qualification from the applicants. More than 100 university presidents, over 800 directors of international affairs offices of universities, deans of institutions of Chinese-foreign cooperation in running schools(secondary colleges), heads of programs of Chinese-foreign cooperation in running schools and deans of international colleges. The participants represented a wide range of people from 30 mainland provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government, covering all provinces in which China and other countries have cooperated in running schools.

The conference conducted in-depth discussions in the following four aspects. Firstly, it expounded the new opportunities, new challenges and new ideas of Chinese-foreign cooperation in running schools from the perspectives of promoting self-reliance in science and technology, talents leading and driving, and the comprehensive reform of higher education, enhancing China's education to the world stage. Secondly, it studied the rules, principles and methods of constructing the talent training system of Chinese-foreign cooperation in running schools with Chinese characteristics and international perspectives, from the aspects of the innovation of the access and exit mechanism of Chinese-foreign cooperation in running schools, the standardization and institutionalization construction of quality evaluation, and the construction of the educational capacity of relevant colleges and universities. Thirdly, centering on the fundamental task of cultivating virtues and morality, exploring the ways and methods to strengthen the party building of Chinese-foreign cooperation in running schools. Fourthly, based on the practice of cooperation in running schools in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, the conference put forward innovative suggestions on the system of cooperation in running schools in Chinese mainland for institutions of higher education in Hong Kong and Macao.
