Quanzhou Vocational and Technical University

2023 Admission Guide for International Students

Quanzhou Vocational and Technical University (QVTU) is a comprehensive university in Jinjiang, Quanzhou City, Fujian Province. Founded in 1986, the university took its current name in May 2019 after the Ministry of Education China officially granted its full university status.  QVTU is proud to be among the first group of the “Vocational and Technical Education Initiative” at the undergraduate level in China.

Quanzhou is widely known as a top commercial city in China, and historically as the starting point of the Maritime Silk Road. Our students benefit directly from this superior geographical location and economic environment. The main campus occupies over 50 hectares of land in the heart of Jinjiang, also known as China’s Brands Capital due to the high concentration of national brands such as Anta in the city. For 27 consecutive years, Jinjiang ranks number 1 in the economic strength in Fujian province. The campus is conveniently located in the heart of Jinjiang – G15 Shenyang-Haikou Expressway, Jinjiang High-speed Railway Station, the International Procurement and Regional Logistics Center on the West Coast of Taiwan Strait, and the industrial park are all close by.

QVTU currently focuses on diploma and undergraduate education, supplemented by adult higher education, and various forms of practical technical training programs. The university is made up of dozen schools (Such as Automobile school, Intelligent Manufacturing school, Digital industry school, etc.) with 18 undergraduate majors and 22 diploma majors, accommodating over 12000 full-time students. Dual-system vocational education created more job opportunities for students during studying, the employment rate is up to 98%.

QVTU places great importance on the health of its students. With 3 international standard athletic fields, gyms, a roof swimming pool, tennis courts, as well as basketball, volleyball, badminton courts, etc., we regularly host large domestic and international sports events, such as the FISU Football World Cup, the National University Professors' Tennis Tournament, and the National Athletics Competitions, etc.

In May 2022, QVTU has been granted by the Education Department of Fujian Province for the license of recruiting international students, and this big step not only accelerates the university’s open-up initiatives on international communication and cooperation in high vocational education but also elevates the school’s international status. Till now, we’ve cooperated with more than 25 universities from China Taiwan, Hongkong, Macau, America, England, Span, Australia, Malaysia, etc., We firmly believe QVTU is on its way to becoming a national and international brand.
